@crinrict I've not been able to reproduce it so far, I did have another couple propose and it was accept. than when i went back to the original couple and once they were over the rejection i had the boyfriend propose again and it was accepted so i guess it was just a weird glitch.
Well, they are allowed to refuse :D

As for the dying issue, was that also a one time thing ?
I think you should make a thread on the excessive marriage proposal rejection issue. You're not alone. Several people are reporting many rejected marriage proposals even with a full friendship AND romance bar. I don't feel right making the thread myself, seeing as I've yet to experience this because I haven't had a proposal in my game lately.
