yes, i can see the textbox pop up and i’m using a ps4 controller, i can type but it won’t show up in the textbox at the top of the screen and the commands don’t work

It never appears i dont know why and i am using a controller

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed?: high school, cottage living, paranormal stuff, tiny living.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves?: when I try and type into the cheat box, nothing is actually typed in. For example, I will press all for triggers and the cheat box will pop up. And the PlayStation texts enter box pops up, and I enter testing cheats true and I press done and nothing goes into the cheat box. When I type into the build mode search bar, it works fine, but when I try to type in to the cheat box text box, it doesn’t work. 
What happens when the bug occurs?: What I just described above. No text going into the cheat text box, even after entered on the PlayStation text box.
What do you expect to see?: I expect to see things typed into the cheat box and being able to use the cheats. 
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods?: No, you can’t with console. 
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system?: I’m not sure I only just tried it after this newest update. 
Please describe the patch or change you made.: not applicable.
