Okay, I've looked at the Last Exception and thought back on what I did, and it's possible that having the Child sim in the household "Tell Bedtime story" to the infant is what messed everything up.  I'm going to reset my Sims 4 folder tomorrow and try it with a brand new save and a brand new family.

I've now added a couple of screen shots.

Also I saved as and kept playing (using cheats to keep the infant from being taken away) until the infant aged up to Toddler and they still couldn't pick him up.

    @DaWaterRat Could you please upload the lastException ?

    Best is to delete the ones you have, then trigger the error and check if new ones are created.

    Also, I'm unsure if infants are supposed to have a glimmerstone yet. I created a spellcaster infant in CAS and that one didn't. Shouldn't they get one later when they are older ? Did it have the glimmerstone from start ?

    Yeah, sorry.  Here's the Last Exception.

    As for the GlimmerStone, his older sister - who I also played through normally through infants and is now a child, also had a glimmerstone upon aging up to infant.  Normally in my experience prior to this, the glimmerstone was added to born in game spellcasters' inventories as soon as they age up to toddler, but that was before infants.  There's no way to remove it from their inventory until they're old enough to gift it to someone or destroy it.

    The interaction that I'm afraid triggered this is a "read bedtime story" interaction that child sims have on infants.  I plan to test that at some point today too.

    So I tested your save and I can't duplicate on it. The interaction that is active when you load the game does get canceled with waving as you described (no LE though) but I then tried again and it seemed to work fine. Gave the infant some food, a bath and blew raspberry and all worked as expected.

    Bit at loss.

    Yeah, I loaded it in when you said it was fine, and it was fine for me too.

    I've no clue.  I'll keep an eye on it, but maybe it was just a weird glitch.

    @DaWaterRat Maybe a milestone got stuck or something ? No idea really.

    I'll keep an eye out if that LE is reported more.

    UPDATE: I removed my most recent .VER file and that fixed it. Now I just know to not read my infant to sleep. 😳

    I am having this exact issue after reading my infant to sleep. I am confused as to what you did that made it work again.
