Re: [ARCHIVED] [CHEATS] Skill Cheat Not Working To Lower Skill Level

I am having the exact same problem. I did not have this issue before the patch on Sept 18th. I have a Sims with level 10 in Handiness & Logic. I want these reduced to 1.

stats.set_skill_level major_handiness 1
stats.set_skill_level major_logic 1

Neither of these will lower the skill to 1. I also tried lowering the skill to 2-5 & gave up. The skill would never go down.

I have also tried to raising Singing skill & the cheat stats.set_skill_level major_Singing 4 did elevate the skill to 4 but doing it again changing the number to 1 does not work. No matter what I do my skills will never go down.

I saved my Sim to my library, started a new save & still could not change there stats with the skill cheat.

I also created a new Sim, elevated there level in Handiness to 10 successfully but could not bring the skill down to any number at all.

I then restarted my computer, installed MCCC & used the forget all skills, saved my Sim to my library and then restarted my computer again to download my own now dumber Sim into my game. This is the only work around I could find & given it will not work on console this is not actually any kind of work around. Please help.

I own all packs except 1 kit. I did a fresh install of the entire game and all packs last week the day before the update & on that day I could nerf my own Sims skills. I just forgot to make this one Sim a little dumber. Today it will not work.
