@Serabee Did you have the quests on while you finished the reaper event ? I'm not seeing this in my game but I had them turned off from start.

Replies have been turned off for this discussion
Apparently I did, as I've never had an issue with it being on before. But I've since tried turning it off, both from the main menu and while playing, and it has no effect.
