Thanks. Please understand that you are not the only person us volunteer helpers are helping. A little patience and understanding would be appreciated. We are trying to help you but you are not the only one with this issue, as you have probably noticed from this thread and numerous others. - crinrict2 years agoHero+
@4llen11 I know you said you've been rebuilding your lot or you have maybe figured it out yourself already but I think I found the culprit on your lot and wanted to share
Behind the pool on the lowest level, near the lot entrance, there's a a lot of water emitters put there on top of each other (Moo?) and they seem to cause the issue.
I had to delete them all and then your lot loaded again. Is that part of what you downloaded or did you build this ?
that part was downloaded, but dang
i honestly never noticed those little things, thx for the heads up
i will delete those and see if it fixes the issue- crinrict2 years agoHero+@4llen11 Yeah, I thought it was a platform or wall or something just glancing at it. I only noticed that they were emitters when looking closely.
Deleting those have not fixed the issue. I will continue and attempt to find the problem.
- @crinrict hold on your tip helped a ton
the build also bundled in a lot of water emitters in the pool in the front entrance
deleting those has fixed the problem
thx for the help @crinrictscratch that went straight back to endless loading screen
FOUND THE PROBLEM
IT WAS ONE OF THE POOLS IN THE FRONT OF THE BUILD not the water emitters
I get my hopes up too much. Same dam issue even after removing the front pool. Still trying to figure out the issue.
Like i make the changes and then i can save and go back to the world and it works, but then i try it again after exiting my game and its back to infinite loading screen- Moozilla132 years agoSeasoned Ace
Having the same issue with endless loading and/or crashing when placing certain lots, so I did a little cross-platform experimenting. From what I can tell, it's absolutely modded content that's doing it, probably from TOOL, as has been mentioned in this thread. I don't use this mod myself but I was placing Gallery downloads that do appear to have used it. So I took the builds giving me trouble and placed them in a game on console to nix the CC, then temporarily re-uploaded to Gallery so I could get the same build w/o CC onto my PC. I was then able to place the build onto the same lot without issue. Obviously this is not a practical workaround since not everyone plays cross-platform, but it does seem to confirm the nature of the problem.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@4llen11 Funny, it worked for me removing the emitters. I'm pretty sure I closed the game and loaded back in and it still worked but I've done so much testing with so many different lots, I can't be sure anymore :
The pool was no issue for me. If you move out your family with all the furniture, can you move in with another family (no furniture), can you then load it reproducible ? If so, that kinda rules out any structures.
I don't have any time for further testing before XMas and there's lots of other issues that need attention so I will move on from this now.
@Moozilla13 That's interesting cause I've been suspecting the placement.
Could you try loading the following lot (it's in the gallery) through console ? It's called Steampunk Tinker Studio. @crinrictWell for me it worked once and then it stopped working. It is very strange, but I will try and do a game reset to see if that fixes the issue. However thank you for the 2 weeks of attention.
- @crinrict update, so far the restart is unfruitful, but i'll try and fix the issue on my end and troubleshooting it
hopefully blue will find something like a debugged item and notify me as soon as possible - @crinrict Good news, I have finally made it work, so I had to pull up an even older lot save, but thankfully that was able to go through and now I am able to spawn into my build with my now 72 sim household. Turns out the creator also had multiple ceiling lights jammed together. That may have caused an issue with the game not be able to load the household.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@4llen11 Interesting. For me it worked fine with just the water emitters removed. It could be an issue of two many Sims occupying the same space.
I had to try again, first with your family and then with a single Sim for faster loading. Travelled, restarted all was fine.
That being said, when I load into your save a there' stuff getting removed and replaced cause of cc. Where those lights cc ? - Moozilla132 years agoSeasoned Ace
@crinrict I successfully placed this lot on console. Trying to place the lot as-is from the Gallery also gave me issues on PC, but after clearing CC/modded content via console and importing this version to my tray on PC, I had no more issues placing it.
The lights were default lights and were not modded. The name of the light is called The Subtle Saucer Light and there were about 4 stacked on top of each other. After removing 3 of them it worked.
- crinrict2 years agoHero+@4llen11 Where in the house can they be found ? Could you post a screenshot ?
@Moozilla13 Would you mind sending me the tray files from the fixed Steampunk lot ? - Moozilla132 years agoSeasoned Ace@crinrict I'm heading out of town for the holidays so it may take me a few days, but I'll reupload (since I didn't think to keep it on my PC) and get those sent over to you as soon as I'm able to, no problem
