Re: [OPEN] [GF] Label you submitted music too is not the one showing

So my sim produced and burned a track. I sent the track to a high end label (Maxis something), then I got a response in the mail from Dinky Beats saying no... Then I got a call from someone at Dinky Beats asking to sign my sim. I accepted... Now all tracks are veing released under New Taskmasters... I am really confused

Can anyone help?

Also I have never heard from Maxis......(machine?) Even though I have sent quitr a few tracks their way (my sim has maxed the skill btw)

Thanks!

  • I have a similar issue, where everything says it was released under Tastemasters, regardless of which of the three labels I released under.

Worse still, I eventually get dropped by them all. I check my phone for updates. Tracks are regularly created by me and released. The notification wall says they hit Simify and my label will be pleased. But I still "time out" with all three labels and get dropped. On the royalties notification, those tracks which were the latest to be released successfully never show up, but there are many older ones still receiving 20-30 simoleons each day.

Maybe there is a maximum and I have exceeded it? Who knows.

Yes my latest songs and even videos are not showing up in the royalty report...

  • Ah, I see. So there is a limit, even if that is only a bug. Books, videos, these things cycle out and you have to add fresh content. Maybe that's the problem with tracks. They never go off the list.

We are still not sure if this is just a short list and if they pay for it. EA has not said anything yet.

It seems this thread is now a mixture of things.

We have currently to bug reports for this

I've merged this with the second one for now. Please post in the other if that's also the issue.

What about the issue of getting dropped by your label even though you are releasing a track a day..  Even after releasing a track, I check in with the label via cell phone and it says the same thing.. that my sim has 6 hours to create and release a new track or they will be dropped.  I thought maybe the message was just glitched.. but nope.. sure enough.  My sim got dropped.  Super annoying. ☹️

Best to make a new thread for that.

Make sure to test with no mods.

Well the only way I have seen to release it is through the music mixing station for some reason, the menu to release directly to the label company on the disk just freezes and stalls and the sims go about their business.  I forgot to say it counts as tracks being released using the music mixing station, but it don't count unless its released to the label company.

I have been able to click on the disks in my sims inventory, and "release to Maxis Music Machine" which he is currently signed with. On the released CD's, it says it is released to New Tastemakers, which he is not signed with. Its my second sim (different saves) with this issue.

My sims have not been dropped by any record label, signed or not.

hi!!! i'm having the same issue. i'm a little disappointed that if this is a bug, it hasn't been fixed at all. my sim has created and released over 10 tracks already, and even though i specifically chose to release them under Dinky Beats, they're either released under New Tastemakers (even though they rejected her to begin with) or they're uploaded to Simify. i just need to know if there is ANY sort of patch that i can use to fix this, it's getting incredibly annoying. seeing as the last post in this thread was from july, and i am just now noticing this after all this time, i think it's safe to assume that i'm not the only one dealing with this issue.

  • Yes, I have this problem too,

After uploading around 15 songs the latest ones don't fit on the royalty report.

This means those songs don't actually get royalties and as the older songs get less and less money over time, despite uploading regularly I keep getting less and less payment, and because i believe there isn't a way to take the old ones down there is no way to really fix it ☹️
