Re: [OPEN] [GRO] Learn to ride a bike milestone doesn't unlock

@lolilops123 Was there any difference between the children on how they achieved it (like did one do it on their own and the other asked caregiver ?)

What traits do they have ? Did they finish at the same time ?

Did you try reloading the game/travelling to see if the second completes as well that way ?

My child sim learned to ride a bike by themself and the milestone did not complete.  They're a loner with High Confidence and Top Notch Toddler traits.  Their motor skill was maxed before they finished learning to ride the bike.  I may use the debug menu to bring the motor skill down to almost max and go for a ride and see if that triggers it; but it did not complete "organically" when they got the notification that they had learned to ride a bike.

When the notification of their completed milestone the transition animation kind of played (it stuttered a bit) then they went for a ride on their own, but only with one foot on the pedal (like they learning to ride animation), even when doing a trick.

Wanted to post a bit of an update on this as I had another child learn to ride a bike.  This time when the notification popped, they gained the milestone properly.  Three things were different with this child Sim:

    • Only practiced riding bike on their own, did not "mix and match" solo learning with getting help
    • Had two parents in the family tree (1st child was made as an infant in CAS while making the family, 2nd child was born in game.  I have never used a Science Baby so can't say anything on that.)
    • Different world (I doubt this would change anything, but when trying to find a problem, too much information is better than not enough.  1st child was in world that came with the Horses ExPac, 2nd was in San Sequoia, the Growing Together ExPac.  Both were fully learned / practiced on home lots.)

There might be something that could be considered a fourth difference, but I think that it's more a "symptom" of the glitch than an actual difference.  This time there was no stuttering and the animation played with the child using both feet to push then pedal.

@NameGani Maybe just a one off ? If you recreate the conditions of the child where it didn't work, does it fail again ?

It was a new save, same family plus a second parent who got added to a random townie's household shortly after game start.  I can try to recreate it, but I don't know when I'll have the time to.

@NameGani Would be good to know if it was a one-off or a regular issue (whenever you have time)

I have this, I have two kids , the first tripped the milestones, the second didn't.  Is there a work around?

@therhythmicbabeDid they both learn from one way?  As in solely by themselves or solely with an adult?  If they learned only from an adult was it the same adult?
