No, I keep NAP off in all saves. What I've been doing to prevent it now is keeping the waffle maker in a sim's inventory and only taking it out when they need to use it.

Active Sims. I've only had it happen in one household so far.
For me it happens with active sims, but also sims at the club gathering on the lot where pizza oven or waffle maker are. These sims do that too. also my butler. Obsessed.
They cause lots of fires and it bothers me.My Sims also prefer to cook with the new appliances whenever their hunger dips into yellow. My workaround is to store the appliances in the household’s main cook’s personal inventory and only take them out when I intend to use them.
I had been using a mod to dampen my Sims' obsession with the pizza maker and waffle maker. However, after the update the mod ceased to work and I remembered this issue existed!
My sim had a nearly full hunger bar. They had just eaten before I sent them downstairs in their restaurant to use the Whipped Dream Cupcake Factory. The waffle maker was upstairs. My Sim kept queuing up waffle making. It seemed to go away after I canceled it from their queue a few times, at least.
