Same issue here - it's making the Thriftea lot unplayable because there's very quickly a pile of teas on the counter, on the floor in front of the counter, on tables, everywhere. No sims are drinking them, they only pick them up and put them down on a table, then they walk away and never come back.
I added the counter to a marketplace lot in Evergreen harbor. I have the same issue of non-played sims ordering and either not picking up the drink or putting it down somewhere else and leaving it. My sim can't order because the counter is full of drinks (they can take one from the counter) and there is a huge mess left everywhere because no one throws away even the empty drinks.
I'm getting really tired of not being able to use things in the game that I paid for because they don't work properly.
Same issue here.
Thriftea lots are LITTERED with bubble tea cups, both empty and full ones. Why don't sims get rid of the empty drinks either? Aren't consumed food and drinks supposed to just disappear after a sim is done eating/drinking? In a café (if you manage to get an order in because they keep cancelling from the queue 😞) the finished coffee mugs will just disappear so there's no mess left behind.
