@SimGuruNickI believe its still around, but better than it was before, but I found a work around, if there are active sims in the inactive lot that can do skill improvement it works. My sim was working late at the Police station but most of the family was home, the toddler was getting hungry, in the red, so I had the Husband of the female sim I was playing build his gourmet skill which after I switched building the gourment skill, the toddlers hunger need went up.  My female sim I was playing was still at the police station.

Yes, this has been happening to me for a couple years now and I've had it. I just had my sims go get a free breakfast during that out on the town holiday, and the toddler just as usual was not taken cared for at the day care in the slightest. And I come back to levels of red that I'm soon to get the child taken away from.

Here is my google drive link to my save file. I wasnt sure which 'version' save file to give you, but they are all there if needed. My sims JUST got back from the breakfast.

  • I noticed every time i come or go from my home lot even if I'm just saving and exiting and returning my infants respawn close to where ever they were but on the ground and their needs are different. Most of the time i put them to bed and then save just to come back to the game and they are on the floor and their needs are not good. Almost like when i saved my sim woke up the infant picked them up put them on the floor n just stood there. Very weird.

On Xbox Series X with all packs, I had a Sim restocking her shopping mall yesterday which took quite a while with about 5 little shops to restock, around 48hrs of Sims time. I left her family at home together, Father, 2 child age Sims, their Dog and a toddler. She fed Rico (toddler) before she left and all needs were maxed. She'd only been at the retail lot for a few hours, all their needs were fine except Rico was starving again and in the red. I set all the other Sims to socialise with him but that made no difference. I had to travel back to the lot to feed him, put him to bed and then return to the retail lot.

Next morning Rico was at daycare as the family had gone to work and school. So I watched his needs again and the same thing happened. I had to just bring him to the retail lot to try and fix his needs, I gave him a toy to occupy him to watch him there instead.

It's really affecting family gameplay and the Needs of Toddlers and Infants just do not work in the same way as other age groups. I found myself wishing I could give Rico a Moodlet Solver because his mother was using those to keep on working.

In contrast I had another Sim family of Father, Daughter, Aunt, Horse, Cat and Dog all stay at home while the mother restocked her large gift shop. It took around 72 Sim hours and everyone left at home was absolutely fine. I checked a different household with just a Horse, adult Dog and Puppy and they were all fine for the duration (it was a busy retail lot check day). So I think I'm going to sell any Retail Lot that belongs to any household with an Infant or Toddler as a result, because it was just such a massive hassle.

I had this happen as well. I don't use mods. In one family I brought the toddler to the site, sorted her needs out and sent her home. The infants it's more difficult and frankly, annoying. Especially since the sim I was just playing is not the parent nor caregiver of the infant in question - her mother was at home with her and yet nobody was taking care of her :/

I have also had the warning about infants being taken when a nanny is on site and not bothering to pay that infant any attention.
