I don't understand why this glowing dot on the calendar was added years after we got seasons... Before it was just fine. I clicked daily on the calendar and I saw what was scheduled for the day - no need for this annoying reminder!
The glowing dot is always glowing, because I love to use the calendar and have almost every day an event like school holidays for every season, wedding anniversaries, family meetings ect. Plus the Game-Events that clutter the calendar.
I click on it and the glowing dot is gone, but the moment I travel with my Sims it's there again...why? I don't need to be reminded every few seconds about a scheduled event. I mean, I JUST looked at the calendar.
I need these glowing things to be patched out or to be optional! In my opinion they are very distracting and just annoying.

I have only game events in the calendar, I don't add anything and this dot is always glowing. I click on it, it stops for a moment and then starts glowing again. I don't even have to travel.
Plus the horrible sound of reminders added in High School Years, every time I hear them I just tense up. They do not fit into this game at all.

I can see the dot even though there is no new event

That bug is happening for a few years now. Every time I travel yellow dot appears. But this is not even the worst. It's BLINKING. Could you please stop with that blinking everywhere? Retail stuff, group stuff, all are getting some flashy stuff and that calendar dot is so distracting. There are no new events, I checked, it's just reset every time I travel! And there is no way to hide it, it's just blinking and blinking and blinking until you click the calendar.
Please, FIX THIS BUG. If anyone knows the mod to fix this I would be very grateful.
Unfortunately I had to start using mods because things are not fixed by EA team - yet players are doing it. Just unbelievable.

@Soanad Luckily there is one, it just came out a few weeks ago! 🙂

I'm beyond grateful for this mod! ♡ Still, it should be fixed by the developers too for people who can't use mods.

@MissLjupkaWOW, you just made my day! I am so happy :D
Thank you so much for pointing me to this mod, I searched for something like that but didn't find it. I see that creator also has mod for the glowing dot in Social Bunny, that's going to be useful too.
I really don't want to play with mods but... I have to. Nothing makes me happier than removing them because EA fixed a bug in the game.
And yes, my point is still valid - please, fix the bug!

You're welcome 🙂
I'll never understand the need for these visual effects like blinking and moving ect. They are so irritating and distracting to me, to the point where I can't even look at the screen because it makes me so nervous. I'd really wish they would make them optional. I am capable of exploring new features or look at the calendar all by myself without anyone 'screaming' at me: "Click me, I'm new or I have news!!"
