This is also still a problem for me on console. I found that decreasing and restoring the friendship bar fixes the issue (doing this with the romance bar doesn’t fix it), so the problem must be with couples who reach max friendship before maxing the romance bar.
Adding to my previous comment: it can also happen for couples where the romance bar is fluctuating, e.g. if they are soulmates, then the romance bar drops below the threshold for soulmates but the friendship stays high, and then the romance bar gets filled again. It’s super annoying and happens for a lot of my sims (I’m on console) - mainly it affects the Soulmates aspiration, but I don’t know what else it affects in the coding for interactions, sentiments, etc.
I hope they fix this before the pack comes out, for obvious reasons…
