Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a toddler and have them get to know a Sim who should die soon, such as an older elder. Wait for the Sim to die. For best possible recreation, disable aging for the active household, but not townies, so that the toddler won't age up before the elder Sim dies.
What happens when the bug occurs? When a person outside of the household dies that the toddler knows, they will get a death call. It's impossible to answer it because something pops up that says "toddlers don't have phones." You have to wait for the phone to stop ringing on its own.
What do you expect to see? If toddlers supposedly "don't have phones," then how can they have a phone be ringing? How can they possibly get death calls? That should not be possible!
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. June 19th or June 26th, 2018 Patch (can't remember which one, but it was definitely one of them)
I'm not sure if this needed to be a second thread or not, so if not, feel free to merge it with the current Death Calls thread. Anyways, there have been many reports of toddlers somehow being able to get death calls despite not even having a phone. If that's the case, then this shouldn't be possible at all! You can see an account of it occurring on the fifth post of this thread.
