@Anaideiae, I realize you might want to actually throw a party, but this isn't a requirement.  Many people, myself included, hate parties in The Sims 4.☹️  They often are very difficult to pull off, and usually aren't fun for us, and can be buggy, like the problem you have mentioned. 😞 

So, if you don't mind skipping the actual party, you can still celebrate your Sim's birthday, just with the family (unless you have guests over as well, but not for a party).  Just bake a cake and add birthday candles and have the birthday Sim blow them out. 🥳 By doing this they won't become sad (like they do when you forget their birthday) , and you don't have to worry about any buggy birthday parties! 🙌 

It is worth a try, unless you really want to throw an actual party! 😉

@PugLove888 Thank you for your kind words, I appreciate the advice. For me it is not really about my sim being sad, of course I celebrate with the cake 🙂 It is more about me being a perfectionist 😃

So when I buy a game and its expansion packs and game packs (and it is quite a lot of money), I am kinda expecting things to work like they should. And this particular thing started with the latest patch, December 2019 along with some other things like collections and awards resetting and it really takes fun out of my game as I am playing a Legacy challenge family and I like completing all the parties and collections and so on... so I know it is not a big deal in comparison to some other bugs, it only is a big deal for my style of play.

You are amazing for trying to help and I really appreciate it.

I just wish Maxis would be more responsible and actually fix their game instead of just creating more content and unfortunately more bugs with it.

@Anaideiae, thank you for your kind words! 😇❤️  I do understand if you actually want to throw a birthday party, I was just making sure that you didn't think you had to do it in order to satisfy your Sims! 😉

Does this only happen with your Teen Vampires, or are some of your Sims who can't throw the party regular Sims?🤔  If it is only Teen Vampires , then there is Bug Report on that and perhaps this thread of yours will be merged with the other one. 🤔  Please update us! 🙂

@PugLove888 In this particular game it actually were vampires, but not only teens, I was also not able to throw any birthday party for (vampire to be) toddlers or children either (the ones you know will eventually be vampires cause of the vampire needs icon). I have to try on other save with human family and get back to you, but it might take a few days.

@Anaideiae, thank you for replying.❤️  We are just trying to determine if your post can be merged with another, similar thread, whose problem is only with Vampires, so we appreciate your testing this! 😇  I will look for your reply in a few days. 😉

@PugLove888 So I tried today with an old save of a big human family, I waited for the toddler to have her birthday and I was able to throw a birthday party normally. I do not have time to test with more saves and more ages of sims right now, but it seems that the problem is indeed with vampires. However, not only teen vampires as you sugessted, but also toddler and children.

@PugLove888 Hi, sorry, it has been a hectic month so I did not check the forum. I was not able to throw the party any time of day, I tried at night multiple times with the same result - no one in your household is having their birthday.
