You are overwriting a lot in the gallery or your personal library? You cannot overwrite lots loaded in the gallery, you can only delete them and re-upload if you want to update them. Only your personal library will overwrite, but it will not overwrite gallery uploaded lots.

Deleting a lot from your library that is listed as uploaded to the gallery will not remove it from the gallery, you have to delete from the gallery.

If you haven't, please shut down your console completely (not sleep mode) and then see if the duplicates are still there in the gallery.
