I saved the game, exited to the main menu, closed the application, relaunched and loaded my save and it's working properly now. The skill metre that was stuck on my toddlers head for days has disappeared too.

Did you ever find the answer to this question. Been having the same issue but can’t find answer after hours of research

Has this issue been resolved for anyone yet? I'm seeing that seasons may have caused this bug for console users but I'm not sure if that's true or not. I dont have that dlc but am attempting to finish an aspiration. If this doesn't get resolved, sadly I will have to stop playing.

Same for me, I don't think it was there before Seasons.

Also when it was a wedding and I invited the guests through plan wedding dialogue, it worked and the guests were invited.

This is super annoying, keeping in mind that each addon costs just like a separate non-EA game.

I know issues like this can be frustating, but we are doing our best to find this. Sadly, this issue is not affecting a lot of users so it is proven to be hard to pin point. Saves would be very helpful so, if anyone can share those with us, that'll be great.

I am having this same exact issue and repeatedly. Has there been any resolution to this issue? On occasion I can leave the house (come back) & event planning will work and let me invite more than one guest (which currently with whatever bug this is doesn’t even let you plan the event because you must invite two guests) since I’ve done the whole leave the house thing a couple times it’s stopped working again. So now I’m back at square one and can’t host an event. Which is frustrating.
