What happens when the bug occurs? Tops that are meant to tuck in don't and have the texture pattern of the bottom item showing through
What do you expect to see? All Sims tops correctly tuck in when you create new outfits or update their outfits
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Done 'repair game'. I don't remember this always being an issue, so maybe it's from a relatively recent patch?

Attached are 3x images - issue extends beyond just the shown top/bottom combinations and across different packs.

The existing Sims in my game have the issue - both in CAS and in Live mode. A newly created Sim has everything tucking in correctly.

It might be connected to the library (just my library, not gallery).

  • Newly created Sim: no issue
  • Sim from library that has not yet been placed in world: no issue in CAS
  • Sim from library that has been placed in world: issue
  • Sim in world: issue
  • Sim in world originally dressed in 'tucked' in top: no issue when changing outfits in Live mode

  • I have this too! It seems like that some wrist accessories and boots that go over the pants causes the shirts to untuck.

Interesting! You're right - it seems to be wrist accessories and earrings that cause this.

The Sims I had in my library all had an accessory on.

The only exception I've found is one of the new Horse Ranch tops - which does it over base game etc and new pack items - Sim is new and has no accessories - see attached screenshots

  • I would be curious to know if this is by design or not tbh. Because it looks like but I've had this issue too.

I'd suspect not as for that top you can see the patterns of the top of jeans for example under it. If it was by design you'd see a flat top.

Also - to add to the original bug - if you put too many 'accessories' on the head of your Sim it causes the same thing.

The limit seems to be 3x.

I was having all the shirt untuck when I had a more than three of eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick, cheeks, along with hats and earrings.

So, for example: if I had a hat, I could then only do eyeshadow and eyeliner - if I added in lipstick the shirt untucked.

Or, I could only do 3 make-up types.

Didn't happen with every shirt (which made it even odder) - but it did it enough that it was frustrating!

And it did mean that with the new expansion I couldn't create a Sim with one of the new hats, earrings, a full face of makeup and a shirt tucked in!

  • @toravey
You are absolutely right as I have observed the same thing, very frustrating as sims that tend to have a full face of makeup also use alot of accessories and that shouldnt dictate what tops they get to wear. So glad I found this thread because I thought I was going crazy and my cc was breaking the shirts even though my sim wasnt using any.The shirt tucked itself in when i removed lipstick, bringing my accessory/makeup count to 3x.
  • @TheSpaark I cant imagine it is by design as it only happens with some shirts and when it does happen the shirt is not only untucked but kind of overlayed onto the pants which looks really weird in my experience.

@bellaciscr I also thought it was a problem with my cc, but apparently not... that's strange :/ did u solve this problem?
