This has been happening with me, as well.  I have a Sim version of one of my online friends.  I'm trying to give him a hearing aid, but because I made him a Vampire, it's not showing up.

I made a post about it on Facebook and everyone who responded to my post were saying that it should be there.  I even repaired my game and took out my mods folder to see if that would've done anything.  So with a completely vanilla game, the medical accessories for my Young Adult Vampire Sim isn't showing up.  I can give him top surgery scars, a binder, the new underwear, and the glucose monitors, but none of those things affect him (the real person I'm basing this Sim off of).  Having access to all of the new things but not the hearing aids, the one thing I do need, is really weird.

I hope it's just a bug and isn't something that's permanent.
