He transportalates after analyzing the patient's sample to the patient room, then he just goes back to the room where he was analzying the patient's sample, then comes back to the patient's room again. it's quite annoying. @aodoherty Hello! I haven't played this specific scenario, but I have noticed other issues with transportalate. Every time I ask my sim to feed a toddler in a high chair, the sim will transportalate to the high chair then walk back to pick up the toddler and walk back to put the toddler down. When you are having your sim go back to the patient, are you selecting an action, like diagnose, while your sim is still in the lab? Perhaps try directing your sim to transportalate to the patient first and then select the next interaction.

@crinrictyes it happens when I ask my doctor sim to examine the patient while my doctor sim is in the lab room. It happens when my toddler sim asks for bedtime story to mommy sim in the living room.

Yes I have the same issue as your case too. I usually don’t place any high chair but, my spellcaster sim does the same progress when trying to go for the bedtime story. The parent sim transportalate to the toddler bed first alone, then she walks back to her toddler to pick up, then she walks back to the toddler bed with her toddler again, then reads a book for bedtime story. This issue works exactly same progress in the hospital. The sims tend to go back to the previous spot to obey the command. I have been feeling this ages ago and the spellcaster sims do it in the same way by walk, instead of using transportalate spell. I tried to move to the spot just beside the patient first, then commanded to examine the patient, then he walked back to the lab room again, then back to the patient again. Always transportalate is enabled.

@aodoherty Oh! Well, there goes my theory. I will test this in my game as soon as I can and will report back if it happens for me as well. Thanks for the update!

@JonaO703Thanks very much for testing my issue. Sometimes, I worry about my English when I feel other foreigner doesn’t understand my point, or I don’t understand other’s point because I’m from non-English spoken country.
Unfortunately, I already turned the spellcaster into the vampire. He had been a grand master vampire before becoming the spellcaster. I was impatient. Anyway, it looks like a bug in my point of view. 🙂

Now I prefer the vampire sim for doctor career. So fast... he was able to treat 7 patients today. This guy was the right sim I mentioned while he was the spellcaster. I turned him back into the vampire what he used to be. Sometimes, he drinks some plasma from his patients. :D He loves to play guitar or violin as a music lover but at least, NOW, he doesn't get lost where to go.
The orderly is another sim of mine and he has been a spellcaster for a long time. I can test your way one more time when I activate him. He is at level 8 in doctor career now. 🙂 Thank you one more time.

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a sim with magic and Transportalate always on, direct them to talk to a nearby sim, or interact with a nearby object
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim will sometimes teleport away to a random spot, then walk back to do the action that was nearby, or they will teleport the short distance instance of walking to the object, person they are interacting with
What do you expect to see? If the what they are interacting with is close, just to walk to it, and to not teleport away randomly
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.

My sim has Transportalate set to On which causes some weird issues where if a sim is right near them and you try to socialize with that sim, my sim will teleport away then walk back to them, or if there's an object in close proximity they will opt to teleport instead of walking to it
