Roommates issues and leaving again

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.64.11.3410
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All Expansions except HS Years All Game Packs except Parenthood & 3 Newest Stuff Packs except Moschino, First Pet, Toddler, Kid's Room, Romantic Garden, Luxury Party, Knitting, Paranormal
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? It basically just happens after some time when you have roommates. in my case I have 3, living on a 64x64 grid lot in a mansion with every amenity you can imagine
What happens when the bug occurs? The main thing is they complain about their bed situation, which of course they all have beds set. I try switching assign side, assigning to a different bed. I've used the make happy cheat, I've added the Neverweary trait... and if I add them to my family via cheats after they've complained, all of their needs are 100% full... so it's got to be some glitch where they feel they're having trouble with sleeping arrangements or something but they're not.
What do you expect to see? Roommates not complain about problems that don't exist and leaving my household. (a cheat to turn off leaving would be nice in general, it's not part of the game I want to play with) this problem was fixed in the past but seems to have returned with a vengeance. as I want these specific roommates, luckily before they actually leave the premise I can ask them to be roommates again and they'll rejoin but the next day they'll try to leave again due to problems NOTE: This is JUST ONE reason I wish WE COULD LOCK DOORS FOR SPECIFIC SIMS, to lock those roommates in when they're having this issue
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

  • It sounds like you're using double beds, does the same occur if you use single beds? I know that sims won't autonomously turn up as a prospective roommate if the beds aren't single, so may be related.

  • I agree with @33Rapture. You're obviously using at least one double bed, since you've tried switching the assigned sides. Double beds only count as one bed, even if you have two sims assigned to the bed who don't mind sleeping together. Make sure you have at least one bed for each member of the household and roommate, even if that means that some of your beds go unused.

@Sketch793 Yeah this. I just minimise and hide a cheap bed somewhere around the lot so that I fill the requirement but keep the roommate assigned to a double bed. The extra bed doesn't need to be accessible or usable. (like in my case they aren't since they're tiny and hidden inside a bush and the sims happily use the double beds I've assigned them :D)

Have you tried upgrading the beds?  If you use the cheap beds, they don't have very good stats so even if the roommates use them, they might complain about them anyway.  Upgrading them improves the stats so sims get a more "restful" sleep.

    Hope this helps.
