[S] Children can't trick or treat/ can't fulfill tradition

I don't know who moved my report to this thread but my bug is different...

This one clearly states that the interaction is not available for children whereas my report is an issue with all ages, not just children.

Edit: I don't see any solution in the near future... so for everyone who experience this, mischief interactions count as a trick or treat tradition. So is giving gifts. 

I am having the same issue. The child is in costume and has the love interaction for Trick or Treat however, they are unable to perform this action when selecting on a Trick or Treater. I searched all of the social menu and the option is not there. I play on PS5 and I only hace the seasons package installed (no spooky stuff pack) 

When it first came out, the Trick or Treat interaction would complete by using the bowl of candy that you can place outsider your house or by using the trick or Treat interaction on visiting sims. As far as I know, they're actually supposed to knock on your door to get the interaction, but kids just show up and stand around on the lot instead of knocking now. 

  The tradition does complete by exchanging gifts. I usually just put some fruit or baked goods in my inventory and give out "friendly gifts," to complete the tradition. Like drinking, and some other traditions, you need to do it three times for the tradition to fully complete. 

I'm not sure what the rules are for mod suggestions here, but I have a mod called "Trick or Treat Tradition Overhaul" that addresses this problem. Anyone who isn't opposed to a modded solution can find it on ModTheSims or my tumblr.
