[S] No trick or treat options showing up in interactions unless door is locked

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? Sims 4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Create a spooky day holiday and select the trick-or-treat activity option. Wait for trick-or-treaters to come to the door and click on the trick-or-treater.
What happens when the bug occurs? There is no option on the trick-or-treater to click for trick-or-treat. This prevents the trick-or-treat activity from being cleared from the holiday box.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see that interaction appear on the SIM when I click it
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
I don’t really know what else to say here that hasn’t been said, in other reports like this but the bug is continuing to happen. It didn’t end in 2022 or in 2020. It is an ongoing problem.
Added Tag to Title. Please add pack tags yourself. Thank you. Also removed console tag for now as it doesn't sound like a console only issue.
- @Knotwise13 I seem to have found a work around. Your front door MUST be locked in order to trigger the knocking action which triggers the trick or treat interaction option, I had my door unlocked to let my party guests in and the trick or treaters were just coming into the house and helping themselves to the candy bowl
