[SE] Sims gain lifestyles even when lifestyles are disabled

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
What is your current game version number? 1.70.84.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All packs
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? disable lifestyles, then play game as usual
What happens when the bug occurs? lifestyle gained even when disabled in settings
What do you expect to see? no lifestyles if it's turned off
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

My sim just gained the Workaholic lifestyle, but due to the bugginess of lifestyles in general I had them disabled in my game. I don't want to deal with all this nonsense so I turned it off. Why do these lifestyles haunt me so?

    I submitted my save.

    On PS5, even with them Disabled, Sims that have Lifestyles will also still have them in their Sim Panel. The Tooltip says it will "Remove" lifestyles from the current save, but it does not remove them.

    @PoptartJuniper Hmmm... Over to a someone with more knowledge of PS4/5 than I. Mac or PC, I maybe could have helped. 🙂

    I also get a last exception error every time I load into a family referencing a lifestyle even though they are turned off. It's not always the same lifestyle but I get errors for workaholics and people person mostly.

    I'm experiencing the same issue. Hope it gets fixed along with the More than three active lifestyle bug.

    I've sent you a link to my save file.

    I turned Lifestyles off but I continue to get notifications related to lifestyles. They say sims are "gaining" them, or in danger of losing them, etc. I have removed the lifestyles manually on each sim using testingcheats but I continue to see lifestyle-related moodlets appear as I'm playing that should not be there.

    Don't have issue with this in my game. I mostly play with Lifestyles off and my sims don't gain any. No matter how long I play. No mods. No Issues.
