Second floor roof appears on interior landing when opened to downstairs
Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.65.70.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All that are out as of 7/26/2020
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Build a house with a second floor and a roof intersecting the second floor. Create a fenced/walled room around the stairs going up to the second floor, then delete the floor to create a landing that should be open to the downstairs. However, the intersecting roof gets in the way and covers the entire room as if it is outdoors.
What happens when the bug occurs? Roof intersects an indoor room (the landing area that should be open to the downstairs).
What do you expect to see? I expect the landing to not have a roof in it and to stay on the outside of the house as it does when I do not open up my second floor.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No
Hi there!
I've noticed this issue for a while now, but it is really starting to bother me now that I have gotten better at building. In case it wasn't clear from above, here is the issue I am having:
- I build a house with a second floor, as well as roofing on the exterior of the second floor. This roofing intersects with the second floor but does not appear on the interior, until...
- I decide to build a landing/balcony area on my second floor that overlooks the first floor by building stairs, fencing off where I would like the opening to the downstairs to be, and then remove the flooring from that room. Doing so does remove the floor, but...
- The roof on the exterior that was once hidden on the interior now engulfs the interior, making it impossible to see past the roof. It seems to mostly affect the room that has been opened to the downstairs.
Is there anything that can be done to fix this on my end? I've tried just about everything I can think of, so I'm thinking it is a bug.
PS I use Windows 10. Thank you very much!
