It says "from trying for baby" but I never had them try for baby. I suspect it has to do with the new story progression. But this sim never asked any of my other sims if she should try to have a baby. This is one of my most played households and I only left them alone for a short time. If your Sim “discuss expending family” with a Love interest it can happen that you have a miracle pregnancy. The game doesn’t filter played sims and unplayed sims. It’s the same bug/feature as the ring in the bag scenario just you don’t have the call.More have this problem, especially in reddit/sims4 you can read this often. 83Bienchen have made a mod (Autonomy Mods -> neighborhoodstories), if you use mods I would recommended to use her mod until the team fix all this bugs/feature with played sims and story progress. If you don’t use mods, just dont use this social interaction.

This bug is actually FAR worse than what OP has described. It creates babies in the situations where IT SHOULD NOT EVEN BE POSSIBLE. Like this one:Yes, the father was dead LONG BEFORE this "child" was born. He is a playable ghost married to a vampire and it shouldn't be technically possible for him to make his wife pregnant!! Fix this asap!

It started happening after Update 08/30/2022.My female Sims keep getting pregnant with eachothers babys, even though they can't. I now have 3 kids and one on the way. the first time it happened i was in the world making over townies ( neighborhood stories off), came back to them both were pregnant with eachothers babys. Now it happend again. Followed teenage Sim to school came back home to mom pregant in the first trimester. Mom knows no Sims that could inpregnante her. She only knows family or teens and all kids Show up as hers and her wifes. and it just keeps happening. This is the first time this happened to me with a family it activley played. I've seen it habben in same sex family with neighboorhood stories on that i didn't play with. this happening in an active family was after the last update , this happening to townies was after the introduction of neighboorhood stories.

I just had a similar issue.My sims mother asked if she and her husband should try for a baby and i chose the option for them to try for a baby. So they had the (one) baby. She calls my sim again and asks if she should try for another baby and i say NO, one sibling is enough. A few days later I visit their household and lo and behold, they had a second baby! Why did they have another baby when I specifically told them not to have another one? Can sims decide to "disobey" my choice?

YesPlease describe the patch or change you made. it was the patch that was released on/around the 17th of February 2022. so far, i have only seen it happen once, and that was the first time opening the game since the patch. I have been playing it today and so far, she has not gotten randomly pregnant. MCC risky whoohoo is on, but i haven't had them whoohoo since conceiving their last children, so i don't think it would be that. also, bypass played households is enabled, so there shouldn't be an issue with that either. there was one other person who stated they had this glitch too, and didn't have mods, so I do believe it's a patch issue.

@crinrictI didn't get any phonecalls. The neighbourhood stories were off. I did switch households to give them a makeover, but again no calls or anything. That family is the only one i do gameplay with the rest i just go in and give new outfits. I don't even build in that save. It also keeps happening, I'm on baby number 5 now. Anytime i go of the lot to tavel or go into the world i can happen.

@crinrict This is the first time this happened. So yeah i guess just with this same gendered couple, without me initiating anything. there also both set on 'can get pregnant'. So technically they shouldn't even be able to impregnante eachother. The thing with the save is i have continued playing and one of them has passed away now so it's currently not able to happen anymore. I don't know how useful the save is in that case.

It is now September, and I just ran into this error as well. My two sims had 2 babies (through me telling them to), but my girl came home from work knocked up...and they haven't woohooed since conceiving their 2nd child. I don't understand what's happening or how to get rid of it. I do have mods in my game, but have never had this issues until now, and they are all up to date.

Just happened to me too. My single guy suddenly has a daughter after playing with a different household for a few days. Time to download some mods to delete this sim. Really upset over this as I really feel this messed up my story for the character. And I have neighbourhood stories turned off for him so I am really confused how that could have happened. I definitely havent 'tried for a baby'.
