  • My game was actually doing this - or something similar to it - as well. I thought maybe it was one of my mods, but before I got around to tracking it down it seemed to fix itself. But here’s the trick: mine wasn’t actually showing only one meal option on the fridge. It was showing all of them, but stacked on top of each other, so it looked like just one with a deeper than normal shadow. If you open and close the drop down for number or servings, do the other meals come back? Mine did, although next time I went to have a Sim cook they’d all be stacked again.

  • I'm not sure what happened to the original poster, but I was having the same issue. Tried repairing, reinstalling, removing all mods (I use lot, both scripts and packages) then ultimately putting them back. It was only one lot that was causing the issue (that I've found so far). I tried two different Sims in different households, Sim A at both lots, and Sim B at both too. Both had this issue on Sim A's lot, even with using cheats to try to reset the skill level(s). The only thing that fixed it was to save the lot in my gallery, move Sim A's family out, replace it with itself, and then move Sim A's family back in. Issue appears to be resolved! Hope this helps someone else that was as freaked out as me!

Did you by chance have ECo lifestyle installed and have green energy sources running?  Also did you forget to pay your utility bills?  Certain appliances if not upgraded to run on other fuel sources won't work correctly if the utility bill isn't paid.
