Sims 4: Unable to Drag Food Items to Storage or Inventory

Description of the Issue:
I am unable to drag food items anywhere, such as into storage (e.g., the fridge) or a Sim’s inventory. There is no error message—dragging just doesn’t work. If an item is already on a surface (like a table), I can sometimes drag it around, but occasionally the food / plate becomes unclickable (this is more common when the plate is empty).

Frequency:
This issue persists with all food items, but I can drag other objects (e.g., vegetables) in and out of inventory without any issues.

Troubleshooting Steps Taken:

• Deleted all mods and the localthumbcache file.
• Repaired the game through the EA app.
• Restarted the game multiple times.

Despite these efforts, the issue is still occurring.

Question:
Has anyone else encountered this issue or know of a fix? Are there other steps I should try?
