What is your current game version number? 1.51.7.2300

Courtyard oasis, island living, luxury party, laundry day, snowy escape, vintage glamour, nifty knitting, jungle adventure, realm of magic, bowling night, cats and dogs, my first pet, outdoor retreat, country kitchen, throwback fit, toddler, dream home decorator, fitness, romantic garden, dine out, movie hangout, discover university, gnome on the go, perfect patio, spa day, kids room, industrial loft, parenthood, backyard, Strangerville, Moschino, animal hats, tiny living, city living, get famous, life of the party, get to work, up all night, cottage living, get together, seasons, cool kitchen, grims guitar, Incheon arrivals, fashion street, blooming rooms, paranormal, eco living
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Give a wellness treat to a sick pet. They still look unwell, for example stars around their head and a sickly demeanor but there's no option to take them to a vet as if they are cured.
What happens when the bug occurs? Nothing happens, the pet should instantly look well and be cured but they don't. I even tried more wellness treats.
What do you expect to see? I expect the wellness treat to cure the sick animal.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Update to version 1.51.7.2300. It was absolutely fine before that. This is something I do very regularly with no problems.
I was already pretty annoyed at this patch. Unfortunately it's a paltry effort and demonstrates a disconnect from the Sims base in my opinion.
Not only has it made 5 bugs worse, it's introduced 2 new ones in my game, including this one.
So, thanks for that.
I really dislike the strays feature, I don't know who thought it was a good idea to have sick strays walking around. For me it ruins Brindleton Bay. I've built a beautiful cliff top house which looks down onto a beach full of desperate looking animals, as a pet owner it's upsetting even if it is just pixels. Now I can't even cure the sick ones. I tried wellness treats on 2 of them yesterday, including on one pug I'd just adopted. Nothing happened. I even took him to the vet but no option to cure him. I got him a vaccination anyway but no change. I then sent him to live with another household, switched to that household and he was cured.
