Sims autonomously clean out insect farm

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? have bugs and let your sims idle
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim child autonomously cleared out the crickets in the insect farm. There was nothing wrong with them. He just threw them in the trash.
What do you expect to see? My insects to not be thrown in the trash.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
This is my first time playing with insects. I have been nurturing the heck out of them and next thing I know my sim kid has a pile of trash in his hand and the bug box is empty.
