Sims can't Get Leftovers from fridge (doesn't match food preference)

Product: The Sims 4
Platform: PS4
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.86
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Everything except For Rent
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have food in the fridge, in this case grilled cheese.
What happens when the bug occurs? The Get Leftovers option is grayed out with "The available leftovers don't match [sim name]'s food preferences." despite the sims not having the lactose intolerant (or vegetarian) trait.
What do you expect to see? Get Leftovers working as it should.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? On console - never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The last patch seems to have messed this up.

    @Uigenna Does that happen with other food ? What happens if you delete the grilled cheese and make a new one, same message ?

    @Uigenna Even after deleting the grilled cheese ? Sometimes the left overs seem to bug out but deleting them solves the issue.

    I am getting this too. Specifically on a rental lot, my sims have no dietary traits, lifestyles or fame quirks. I know one the other sims on the lot but in a different rental apartment has the lactose free trait I wonder if that's the cause of the glitch. I can use the "open" button and choose any food that way, it's just tedious and not as the game is intended. I will try removing neighbours that have food traits and see what that does.

    I think I figured out my problem, the only food in the fridge was food a neighbour had made that my sim put in the fridge. Said food was lactose free and vegetarian. Once I had put food in the fridge that my sim had made I was able to use the "get leftovers" tab. It probably means does not have permission to eat those left overs rather than isn't able to because of diet.
