Sims In Group Have Option to Hangout

I am trying out the new features of the groups and I noticed the social action to hangout is still present in the pie chart after the Sims are already in a group.  This started with the December 4th patch since this is a new feature.

In the video below, you can see my Sim asking a Sim she is at the bar with to hangout.  After she does so, the Sim is added to a group with her.  This is all done without using the actions option.

    But the ask to hangout has nothing to do with being added to a group

    Try it the other way round.

    Ask a Sim to hangout with you. They will not be added to a group together.

    It's just an interaction that helps with the Sim not leaving.

    Agreed but it seems to do so for @Hroun_88 and myself so my question now is if it's on all Sims

    I think I should have mentioned this in the beginning.  How the glitch happened:  I took my Sim to a bar with a few other Sims and formed a group.  It was the default bar in Oasis Springs.  I started to talk to this other Sim who was not in the group and I asked the Sim to hangout while inside the bar.  The Sim as asked to hangout joined the group.  The option to hangout appeared on the rest of the Sims in my group even though they were already in the group.

    I'm beginning to think it's just a random friendly interaction.

    I finally got it to show on one of the Sims but after asking them to hang out with me, no group was formed. The new group icon was not added to the Sim.

    Was it added to yours ? For me they are just added if I add them through the menu.

    What I did was:

    • Clicked on a few Sim and under actions clicked add to group
    • Then I looked under the friendly menu of one Sim and the option to hangout was on one Sim but not the others
    • When the Sim is already in a group and the option to hangout is clicked, the Sim is then added to the group.

    As of the February 2016 patch, I am still having this issue.

    I am going to mark this as solved.  It works differently since the Feb 2016 patch.
