Sims uses different object than clicked on (High Chair, Crib, Fridge, ..)

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have more than one fridge on the lot. Click on the fridge and select "grab leftovers".
What happens when the bug occurs? My sims will walk over to a different fridge to grab leftovers, even when standing right next to a fridge.
What do you expect to see? My sims using the fridge I direct them to and grab leftovers.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

I have three "apartments" on my lot. I have locked the doors for everyone but those I have decided live in each one. I tell my sim in apartment A to grab leftovers from their fridge, but they instead walk over to apartment B to grab food, which ends up with a route fail because the door to apartment B is locked for them.

Workaround that sometimes work: Instead of selecting "grab leftovers", select "open" and find the leftovers you want your sim to eat and then select "grab plate". Sometimes it works, sometimes they still insist on going over to a different fridge.

Workaround that does work: Place the leftovers on any surface, click it and select "grab plate".

One thing I have noticed that affects this, is which one of my sims does the cooking, and thus which fridge I drag the leftovers into. So if I have my sim in apartment A grab leftovers cooked by themselves, or one of the sims in the same apartment, it's not a problem. But if I have my sim in apartment C grab leftovers cooked by my sim in apartment B, my sim will walk over to that apartment to grab food. But since my apartments are locked, it ends up with a route fail.

Sometimes my sims ignore locked doors, but that's a different bug.

I've had this problem for a couple of days, so it's not from the most recent update. But since I haven't played the game in a while it's hard to say how recent this bug is. I would say it's definitely from this year though, within the past 6 months.
