Sims whims keep resetting whether they're pinned or unpinned

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except for Star Wars
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Leave the household
What happens when the bug occurs? The Sims' whims in my household will automatically reset every time I leave the household. This happens to pinned whims and unpinned whims.
What do you expect to see? Pinned whims to remain pinned

I like playing my game based on the whims my sims have. If I leave the household in any way the other sims at home's whims will change when I come back. They change whether they're pinned or unpinned. An example would be one of my Sims goes to the park and the rest of their family is at home. When I go back home all of the other sims' whims will be different. It kind of defeats the point in pinning them at all.
