What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? N/A
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Look at the code for the Needs and the intervals for them.
What happens when the bug occurs? My sim is just fine, then she dies of starvation.
What do you expect to see? Sims should not die of starvation right after eating.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure
This happened right after the 8/2/22 Update.
- @kendallroys Do you also have issues with the need bars being the wrong color ?
To be sure, you have nothing else in your mods folder than the resource.cfg file ? Ever since the latest patch my sims are dying multiple times a day due to starvation without notice. The needs bar appears green and is low but they are suddenly dropping dead instead of just being hungry or even ravenous. I have cleared my cache folders and removed mods and it is still happening. All needs bars are inconsistently colored, when the need is full it remains yellow and when it is low it stays green. what is happening?!!
For me this issue was caused by having CC which affected traits - I didn't have any big mods like SOL or anything, but I did have a few modded additional traits I had forgotten to remove.
Removing these completely fixed this issue for me. Hopefully this will help someone else.
Ever since i updated the game my sims keep dying on me. The game says they’re dead from starvation although the needs bar is lit up green. This is the second household i’ve tried to play and this happened again. I’ve played this game for many years of my life so it’s not me. lol.. No option to even try and bring them back anymore? Or is that me. Thanks for any help!
Move your Mods folder to the Desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. Then test the game in a new save.
If it works now check for updates to your Mods and CC. Add it back a little at a time while testing until you have found all that are broken.

What happens when the bug occurs? my sims die of starvation or just randomly die after 30 minutes of real-time gaming.
What do you expect to see? My sims will stop dying randomly even though their needs are met.

Please describe the patch or change you made. This problem started about two to three patches ago.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? My sims are still dying from starvation or randomly dying even though all their needs are taken care of. I thought this problem was fixed ☹️

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play and see within half an hour a sim will die of starvation or sims die every game load for no good reason all the time

Sims die even withuot mods and cc installed
I'm not the only one experiencing this same thing has been going on for at least a month and game updates haven't fixed this issue
