Sims/Animals Dying of Starvation in One Day

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? it happens to adults sims, the starve ether all of a sudden, or even if the need is still green and has not turn red or yellows they just die,
What happens when the bug occurs? my sims can be doing anything, making food or on there way to make food or going out. the bug just happens befor i can do anything.
What do you expect to see? them not die just all of a sudden even though there need is not completely empty or even hade turn red yet

Please describe the patch or change you made. i updatet the game and got the new highschool pack

it happen after the update just before highschool came out, and it kept happening even after the new pack came. i try play with out my mods but it still happens, and also with my mods on. when my sims is a teen she was fine but when i age her up her hunger became the problem as i tolk above. i try 3 times with adults sims from the starte and all 3 died do to hunger. even though 2 out of three hade half full hunger need, and it hade not turn yallow for some reason. and the last one did even though they still hade enough hunger to make it throug cooking to save them self, but they stop cooking an just died.
