Edit: Okay, in typical real world fashion, cats are troublemakers and dogs are Good Boys. With a dog, the only problem I had was getting it to misbehave - had to resort to entrapment by leaving puddles and human food on the floor. But the lecture options showed up first time for both, and were also available in the friendly menu (not pet care).
With two different cats in two different households though, they misbehave frequently and yet can only be lectured some of the time. I don't think it's intended, but I suppose it is realistic!
