Small things are too big for the selling tables?

I had this in my vanilla game. I had to sell my sell table and purchased a new + I restart the game and delete localthumbcache. I only encountered it once in my game, I think it was after Cottage Living was available. (I don't remember what my sim had selling their but no gifts. It was rags to rich gameplay)
