Where are they supposed to be shown? When night owl and introvert popped up in my notifications it didn't actually specifically say I got the traits, but it said "night owl- don't sleep for 24 hours" and "introvert - don't socialize for 24 hours" does this mean I got the traits, or are they telling me that's what I need to do in order to get them?
These are "achievements". That it popped up in your newsfeed means you won it. Right now people are reporting that they are save-game-bound, but they are supposed to be account-wide.
To see them, hit the options menu (upper right corner) and click achievements.
Outdoors items:
Plants do not go into the home inventory (garden plants, like the groundcover, small plants) when moving the house around. There also appears to be no category in home inventory filter (the drop down) for outdoors -- so I don't know if this is working as intended. When I redid the porch to match the changes made to the house, some plants disappeared, I figured I'd find them in the home inventory but I had to buy them all over. This could be very annoying if I had an intricate yard -- is this how it's supposed to work? Not sure if it is a bug.
Also I previously mentioned in the sims forum that I can no longer edit -- that you couldn't put garden plants into the inventory -- you CAN but you cannot put planter boxes into the inventory. I don't know if this is related to the above or not. You can in fact put garden plants into the inventory if you just put the plants in. Select them in the box, hit delete, this dumps them into the inventory from the planter. Of note, it auto-harvests them putting the harvestables into the home inventory too. Not a bug, but wanted to correct the info posted earlier.

Roof overhang functionality giving me a headache :P I am not starting a thread because it could be pebcak.
Still at the Daisy hovel... Added a whole new room. Added a roof. Removed the side overhang no problem. The overhang at the gable side however just won't go away. The arrows on my new roofs do not behave the same as the original roof on the Daisy Hovel.
Daisy Hovel : All "up" : overhangs fully retracted : NO overhangs anywhere -- on gable ends or sides. As I step down one at time (pull down on arrow) I get one step of overhang on the sides and gables first step, then each successive step is just the sides, as you'd expect.
On my new roofs: All "up" is equivalent to the above one step pulled down, eg, overhang on gable sides, small overhang on sides. Each successive tug gets me a bit longer overhang on the sides.
There is no way obvious to me to get rid of the overhang on the gables. I've tugged on everything.
Example of gable roof overhang not being able to be edited to match Daisy hovel roof.
