Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.
After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.
Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.
- Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
- Tray Folder
- Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
- Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
- Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
- ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
- Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)
The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
So, when I renamed the sims and started up the game without any of my old data, the glitch was gone. So, I added my save file first, nothing else, loaded it up and the glitch is back. No 3x speed. What should I do now?
I'm willing to share the save file if it helps.
- @CheyZ543 I tested your save and Speed 1, 2 and 3 all work fine for me.
Have you tested another household if it occurs there ?I actually played that save file a bit more, and it's actually only ultra speed that kicks in when all sims are asleep or at work. When the glitch first occurred it was at night when all sims were sleeping, so I didn't realize during the day all game speeds worked. Just not when the game is supposed to be in ultra speed. Which is kinda crucial information. Sory for seeing this so late. I'm going to start a new save file today and see if the glitch is still there.
I just tried it on a new save, same sims via library and ultra speed is working fine.
@CheyZ543 To be sure, it's ultra speed that's not working for you. It's not that you can't even use speed 3 when they are asleep ?
I did also have ultra speed kick in but I'll try again to be sure.Edit
I tested with everyone sleeping and could finally see what you mean but only in the household in henford that's currently the active one. Maybe it's even just a small time window cause after checking some other families it worked fine for that one too.
EDIT EDIT: Can you try loading another family, check if it works there (send everyone to bed, do ultra speed), then go back to your other family and try there.
