Speed won’t go past normal

What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Cats and Dogs, Seasons, City Living, Get to Work, Discover University, Eco Lifestyle, Realm of Magic, Parenthood, StrangerVille, Tiny Living, Laundry Day Stuff, Toddler Stuff, Desert Luxe Kit
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Mostly when sims go to sleep 3x speed doesn't work at all.
What happens when the bug occurs? Whenever all sims in a household are asleep the 3x speed is not available reverting back almost immediately to normal speed, this also makes ultra speed not available.
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to use 3x speed whenever my sims are asleep.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Neutral/Not Sure

Recently I haven't been able to use the 3x speed when all my sims are asleep, we don't have any pets or anything. When I try to use 3x speed it just goes straight to normal speed making it impossible to speed through the night at all.
