Stairs glitching when a platform is next to the landing

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.110.311.1020
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Kind of hard to describe, see the screenshots attached to better understand: 1. Create a foundation and add stairs. 2. In one of the tiles adjacent to the tile landing, create a platform (it can be in a separate room or not 3. Change anything in build mode in the lot (for example, add a wall)
What happens when the bug occurs? 4. The stairs glitch and rise to the level of the platform It's possible to place them back again by deleteing them and recreating them (or by moving them elsewhere and put them back again to where they were) but it's complicated when you have multiples occurences of that on one lot.
What do you expect to see? The stairs not changing for no reason.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

So I had this issue for quite a long time, and I'm surprised not to see a topic about that so I'm making one. To illustrate the steps above:

1. Here I have a foundation with stairs, and in the room next to the stait landing, there is a platform. Everything is fine.

2. As soon as I change something for example by building a wall, the stair glitches.

I tested this and got the same thing you did.  As soon as I tried to do anything on the open part of the build, the stair to the ground jumped up to the height of the platform.  I also noticed that when I went to place those stairs, I tried next to the wall, and they wouldn't place.  I had to move out a tile and use the stair arrows to extend the stair.  The first time, I placed the platform first and then the stairs.  I also tried placing the stairs first then the platform.  That time the stairs jumped up immediately.  So, it looks like the platform and stairs are not getting along in that configuration.  I'm not sure that it's a bug and not just a quirk of the build system.  Nor do I remember it happening before though so can't rule it being a bug out.  Either way, I agree with you that it shouldn't happen.

    Hope this helps.

The fact it happens no matter what you modify on a lot is really a big issue I think, as I'm sharing lots, I know that some people might modify some stuff and won't see the mistake. It's not that hard to solve, but the fact it happens any time you do it is really frustrating :'(

Let me guess: if an issue is getting lost at the bottom of those bug reports, it means it will never be solved ?

This one is easy to reproduce, and it's still there after the last patch.

I know there are more important fishes to solve, but it would really help not having to replace every stair when I modify something on my lot.

    Thanks in advance.
