Teen homework disappears

I know there have been issues with teen homework but I couldn't find reference to this problem in the lists, sorry it's already been commented on.

Teen Sims are still not putting their homework in their inventory when done, I know they've always done that and it is a bit irritating as they leave books all over, but tonight I noticed that there wasn't an option to 'put in inventory' - nothing happens when I try and click on the homework. Then after dragging the finished homework into his inventory it vanished!  Not immediately, it dropped into his inventory OK but later I noticed his inventory was empty.

  • Hi Crin it wasn't. But I did find it in the inventory of a young adult housemate - seems like I dragged it to the wrong inventory (facepalm!)

The teen Sim bought a new copy from the bookcase and everything's good again.

edit - what I should have said was I wasn't able to replicate the not being able to 'put in inventory' bug as the teen Sim put his homework in his inventory as soon as it was done - and I think given the fact that I was obviously playing the wrong Sim all the while it probably wasn't even a bug! I guess I owe everyone an apology for such a dumb post in the first place - Sorry.

Have teens and kids always been able to buy books? I thought it used to be that adult Sims did it for them.

Another thing I noticed after another stupid mistake - The teen Sim (me again!) bought a copy of the kids homework first and I was going insane trying to get him to do his homework, after quite some time I figured out what I had done and had him place it on a table, then while playing as an adult Sim I dragged and sold it in live mode - that's new as well isn't it?

On a positive note, I was extraordinarily happy to see an adult Sim autonomously help a child with their homework - that made my day 🙂 Thanks devs there may be bugs and clumsy glitches but every now and then the game delivers something so simple and thoughtful it makes the game compelling.
