Time freezing & Resetting

    I'm going to close this thread.

    Not because I think its fixed but because it has become an thread of multiple things that all need addressing separately.

    I have opened this thread a while ago: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4-Bug-Reports/Performance-Issues-Compiled-List-of-Threads/m-p/5095251 and I would ask everyone that is still plagued by either of those issues, to open their own thread in the general section of the forum.

    Please provide the info asked in the appropriate posts in your own thread and I will then add your thread to that list.

    It's way easier to keep up with the individual progress this way as these issues probably don't have one cause as such but are a problem of multiple things. 

    I think it's a better way to get the info that the devs need to address these problems.

Frequently though the game (I've noticed this most often during moodlet expirations and skill level ups) sims will get stuck in a single animation for several in-game hours. The clock will continue to run in the game, and you cannot change the speed of time. You also cannot click on any objects to call up the action menus. After the "processing" finishes (I'm guessing that's what it is), the time will snap back to when the sim got stuck and the time changes can be made again, and action menus begin functioning again.

During one of these freezes, I checked my system performance-- processor was at 47% and memory was at 50%, so it wasn't an issue of a lack of resources. The game has also run very smoothly on my system other than these hiccups, so I do not believe it has to do with my equipment (I've got a core i7 with 24gb of RAM).

Please let me know if any other details are required.

Hi there !

i'm living in France and we are plenty of gamers who have the same f******  bug ☹️ . I tried everything ( erasing some file, reboot ...) but it's still not working properly ... Is there anybody who can fix the bug ?

    Is anyone else having this problem- When speeding through on very very fast i hit play or pause to get back to normal speed but it doesn't work and the whole of the controls freeze so im stuck with frozen sims that are going super fast then suddenly it all falls back into place. is it just game lag? or do i have another problem?

        But it doesn't help, so what was the point of this post?  It doesn't matter anyway, because I quit playing like I did with Sims 3 because EA or Origin or whoever NEVER replies with a solution.  Just replies with others who have the same problem.  Thanks for NOTHING @EA @Origin.  Buh bye!

    Hello.

    Writing to you with my old problem with time.
    EA Avisors told me to wait for the new version, and I did.
    My problem is than again occurs, but not like before. And it's better.
    I think that really is not right. I have that problem two months, and no one to help me.
    Please fix this in the following versions, or to help me.
    My computer specs:
    AMD Sempron LE-1250
    NVIDIA Ge-Force 210
    3 GB of RAM.

    Lately I've been having a huge problem in the game. The time goes on but my sims are stuck doing their actions. I know its not my computer so i know its the game itself. I tried to repair my game but it doesn't do *... 😮

    I have had a look through the other posts and I can't seem to see my problem.

    When playing The Sims 4 my sims keep freezing and they don't do anything. The time continues to pass by and music plays etc but the sim doesn't do anything, if I try to click on anything the menu doesn't come up. When it un freezes the time goes back to what the time was when it orginially froze.

    I was wondering if anyone could help me or point me towards a post I might have missed.
