[TO TEST] Alien Memory Erased... Can you get it back?

I decided to start a new game and I made 2 aliens that were married to eachother. About a few hours into playing, one of them erased the other one's memory. I didn't notice at first it just showed up that my female alien was dazed. I read the dazed and it said they had their memory erased or changed. I didn't think much of it until the male alien came home after work. I was trying to get her to socialize with him when it said I had to introduce eachother... The male could talk to the female with the same usual text but when I played as the female talking to the male it gave the introduction options. I introduced her to him and their whole relationship was gone. No best friends, no marriage. It wouldn't let me put her to sleep in the same bed as him. I was really confused so I used the cheat code to modify in CAS to see if it said they were still married. Their relationship was set as roommate.

Does anyone know if this gets undone or I can do something about it other than cheating? I'm so frustrated this happened because I don't want to have to keep recreating the relationship in CAS every time they mess with eachother's minds (since they are both aliens...)

Or do I just have to not play as aliens.?
