[TROUBLESHOOT] Sim won't detect alien

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? Dansk
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? City Living, Dine out, Outdoor Retreat, Spa Day, Get together, Vintage Glamour stuff, parenthood, Backyard stuff, Kids Room Stuff, Romantic garden stuff, Cool Kithen stuff, Perfect patio stuff, luxury party stuff, Get to work, Christmas pack
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Trying to make a alien glow while a non alien sim talks to the person
What happens when the bug occurs? 1) The alien does not get detected 2) The DNA does not show the sim is an alien
What do you expect to see? 1) A glowing alien and the sim detecting it 2) The DNA shows the sim is an alien
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Never used.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

A few days ago i created a new game. A man working as a scientist. I wanted for him to detect the aliens living in the game. I found one i detected as an alien and made my sim try to detect it. First i tried to get the sims DNA that didn't show anything. Then i  tried to make him glow and still did the sim not detect anything. I hope it will be repaired :-)

    Hi @LouiMerr

    I'm really unsure as I haven't played with aliens or scientist in a while but I thought they glow when they are in a certain mood ? Is that what you tried ? Putting them in a certain mod ?

    I'll put this on my test list

    Aliens glow when they enter a "very" emotional state, e.g. very flirty (they glow pink) or very sad (they glow blue).

    I don't think my scientists have discovered aliens just by seeing them glow, but usually while chatting with them, they can randomly use their alien brain powers on you and that usually gives my sim the "xenophilia" confident moodlet or the angry moodlet of the same thing.

    My other sims have also discovered aliens by WooHooing them, because they can't hide anything during WooHoo 😉

    I haven't done much analysing the DNA samples yet, but I think you just have to keep trying with those, as I've mostly just discovered traits using DNA analysis, but I assume there's some chance of detecting alien DNA?

    From reading old threads, yes, you should be able to. Not sure if there's a chance involved though

    I got them in a very mood, for example very energized or very romantic, to make them glow.

    Talking to them didn't do anything either ☹️ even though they were glowing 

    The only thing working is woohooing with them

    Yes, that just made them come home to the household not wearing their alienform. That kind a took the fun out of detecting the alien.

    The only way of detecting one so far is woohooing with them, but earlier on I remember I only had to talk a lot with them
