unable to remove keepsake box from inventory

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Put a keepsake box in your sims inventory.
What happens when the bug occurs? I am unable to remove the keepsake box from my sims inventory and I am unable to "Entrust the Keepsake Box"
What do you expect to see? I expect to be able to remove the keepsake box from my inventory and be able to pass it down.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.

My elder sim is unable to remove the keepsake box from his inventory and is unable to entrust it to another sim despite it being a designated keepsake box. I am also unable to drag it from his inventory nor am I able to put it in another sims inventory. I have also tried to "Place In World" and that does not work either. It has all of my sims certificates as well as a few other items that I am unable to retrieve.
