[V] Medical wearables: No head accessories for Vampires

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? PC: 1.95.207.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Make a vampire in cas and navigate to head accessories.
What happens when the bug occurs? the 'medical wearables' accessory tab isn't there.
What do you expect to see? The medical wearables accessory tab, so i can give vampires hearing aids.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

I'm assuming this is a bug, as the body medical wearables show up, and all other occults have this tab as well. Given the top surgery scars only showing up for one body frame, it seems like it might be a similar oversight and not an intentional decision.

I wanted to update a sim I've had for ages to give him his hearing aids, only to find it wasn't an option. I then turned off mods and reloaded to check it wasn't a mod issue. The medical wearables still weren't there, checked men and women, and all other occults. There for other occults, not for vampires.

  • This has been happening with me, as well.  I have a Sim version of one of my online friends.  I'm trying to give him a hearing aid, but because I made him a Vampire, it's not showing up.

I made a post about it on Facebook and everyone who responded to my post were saying that it should be there.  I even repaired my game and took out my mods folder to see if that would've done anything.  So with a completely vanilla game, the medical accessories for my Young Adult Vampire Sim isn't showing up.  I can give him top surgery scars, a binder, the new underwear, and the glucose monitors, but none of those things affect him (the real person I'm basing this Sim off of).  Having access to all of the new things but not the hearing aids, the one thing I do need, is really weird.

    I hope it's just a bug and isn't something that's permanent.

  • Having this problem too on PS4. Child vampire could wear hearing aids but once aged up to a teen the option disappeared, the option is also not avaliable for my adult vampire sim.

Hopefully this can be fixed soon.

  • Me again, I've found that the hearing aids for vampire sims are in the earrings tab! It is probably a mistake that the medical wearables tab is missing but if you do want hearing aids on your vampire sims then for now you can find them with the earrings!

    Hope this helps!
