Villainous Valentine doesn't work with Convince to Leave Spouse

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Have a Sim with Villainous Valentine successfully use "Convince to Leave Spouse."
What happens when the bug occurs? The target Sim does leave their spouse, but the Villainous Valentine requirement to "Break Up Couples" does not increment
What do you expect to see? The number should increment as normal.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Have tested this with all mods disabled.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes, but months ago.

The Villainous Valentine quest to "Break Up 10 Couples" works properly when you use Malicious -> Other Sims... -> Break Up With..., but it's also supposed to work with "Convince to Leave Spouse." I remember it working that way when it debuted, there are other posts online backing me up on that, and I've even checked the tuning files to confirm, and they all say "Convince to Leave Spouse" should count for this quest. Unfortunately, it doesn't.

I've tested with multiple combinations of Sims.

This is a pain. "Convince to Leave Spouse" is much more reliable than "Break Up With," and it's making it very hard to get 10 break-ups.
