[W] Excessive Werewolf transformation

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:PC
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.89.214.1030
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Many. Not Baatu.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play a werewolf. Cheat in the wolf temperaments. Include a toddler. Move them into simmyshuno
What happens when the bug occurs? The meter fills no matter what the werewolf is doing. The werewolf transforms. Rinse and repeat three times a day! Try raising that baby x)
What do you expect to see? A way to 'cool down' fury a little. A padded room with 'chill' lamps maybe for my crazy werewolf. x)
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Yes
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. Latest Game mode werewolves. Second playthrough with same family but different wolf tempraments.

My werewolf is a single sim bringing up a toddler in sanmyshuno.

My self chosen werewolf traits are grumpy, restless animal, sensitive hearing and anti-capitalist.

The fury gain just on waking up is beyond extreme! Fury will half fill the bar just from getting out of bed to give the toddler some food. Throw in a shower and any kind of toddler play time and you have a werewolf on your hands which is freaking the toddler out with the change!  (I must add I love the idea of 'hug fluffy puppy' interaction! Also the interaction to have the werewolf in full change to 'read to sleep', I'm not sure even I could sleep after THAT bedtime story! x) I've taken abilities lunar resistance and will to resist to try to gain some semblance of a normal life but they seem to only quell the problem slightly if at all as they seem to come with a chance to fail.

Activities like working out or childcare should quell the fury with a buff except on full lunar cycles, so I can get on with bringing the kid up well. x) It might be an idea to have a moodlet lamp like the kids nighlight which will help to keep the fury at bay (or does something like this already exist in game?) Also a couple of new entombed fossils for normal dig sites called 'wolf print', 'wolf hair' and 'wolf fang' that can be dug up in general locations that if carried in the inventory, have a slim chance to change a normal sim into a werewolf, maybe? Pretty please?

  • So I've got a Sim with the temperament to get sad every single time she does any sort of werewolf interaction. The sadness sparks a half full fury. She gets sad when she uses the bathroom. She gets sad if she howls. She gets sad if she transforms. She is literally going on rampages every six hours and it is absurd.

Her other temperament triggers are any discomfort of any kind, being hungry, and I can't remember the other one.

But seriously? Her somber howl should be removing her fury, not doubling it.

I moved the household to my much coveted chicken roost. The problem was corrected when they arrived.

  • I think i've found a work around. It does require cheats, though. I eliminated some of the negative traits, and replaced them with one of the traits that reduces rage--such as Mark of The Forest, Mark of the Night, etc.  There are 4 of those Mark traits. And, just for kicks, I changed one of my werewolves to have all 4 Marks and no negative traits, and I can actually raise my babies and toddlers because my sim has a lot more control and is actually able to parent. I honestly was ready to stop using the werewolf pack and go back to non-occult sims, but i'm going to try this for a bit and see how it goes.

  • @tommynocker001 Has there been a solve for this yet? I can't get my werewolf to get any of their homework or after school job work done because as soon as they get home they wolf out and stay that way most of the night and then are too tired to do it when they are better.

@Ladynyx23 I have no idea, I stopped playing werewolves due to the excessive change. Jobs get lost, babies get taken away and sims starve! (unless you eat furniture)

I've got an NPC werewolf ghost that regularly visit my lot, so I'm guessing it probably hasn't. 🙂

  • After update 1.68, my werewolf sim started gaining fury extremely fast, every 3-4 real life minutes he goes on a rampage and it’s extremely annoying, I have tried disabling fury effect and using cheats to change the temperaments, but it isn’t working.

My werewolf is in the detective career, and if I choose to send her alone she goes into fury and leaves work early every single time. If I join her, it's fine, fury goes up just a little as it should (level 5+ werewolf). It's almost as if I have to go to a boring job just like real life to avoid consequences, so thanks for that. LESS realism is what I look for in games. Real life is enough in itself. I play on PS5 so not including a save file, this should be easy enough to replicate. Likely it's the same for all active careers -- out of tune.
